Read Acts 18:1-5
1. Why did Paul leave Athens and come to Corinth?
2. God provided companionship for Paul, Priscilla, and Aquila. Why did God provide this companionship? Why is it so important to have fellow believers you can walk through life with?
3. We are called to provide and mimic our creator. Our work can be a blessing to God, but it can also consume us. What can we learn from Paul in this text about provision?
4. Why was Paul able to almost exclusively devote himself to preaching the good news? What does this show about the early church and how should this challenge us?
Read Acts 18:6-8
1. "But when they opposed Paul and became abusive, he shook out his clothes in protest and said to them, “Your blood be on your own heads! I am innocent of it." What is the meaning behind Paul saying and doing this?
2. Paul left the synagogue and went next door to preach to the Gentiles. Why would he have chosen a location right beside? What does this show you about how we should be preaching the good news?
3. Crispus, the synagogue leader, believed in the Lord. There would have been a lot of talk around his conversion. What attributes does Crispus have that we should all strive to attain?
Read Acts 18:9-17
1. Read through the vision that Paul has. What is the reason that God said this to Paul? What was he providing him with? What in the vision do you need to hear today?
2. How did God provide and pave a path forward for Paul in this text? It was unconventional, but God was still at work. What is a time in your life that God has worked in a situation you did not expect?
3. Read Acts 18:17 & 1 Corinthians 1:1. How did God provide for Sosthenes even in his doubt? What does this show you about our God and his provision?
